Hi, I’m Dr Andrew Strauss.
Did you know that to become a Doctor of Chiropractic requires 8 years of training? Many people are surprised to learn this.
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with honors from the University of New Hampshire in 1978. I then went on to study chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the worlds oldest and largest chiropractic college. I graduated with honors in 1982. In addition post graduate studies have included advanced studies in cold laser acupuncture, Chinese medicine, clinical nutrition, foot orthotics, and radiology and a whole lot more (Click here to look at my educational history)
To further my continuing education I have studied Chiropractic Bio Physics Technique, Activator Technique and have maintained regular involvement in Applied Kinesiolgy over the past 20 years. I have worked with a number of other chiropractic clinics to study their methods and procedures including Dr ELR Crowder, vice president of Palmer College, Dr Bernie Setford, president of the chiropractors association of Australia, The Gonstead Clinic, and Dr Carl Ferrari.
I am a member of the New York State Chiropractic Association, Palmer Alumni Association, and a senior lecturer at the Open International University of Complementary Medicines.
I am married to Eleanor. We have two daughters and a son.
My journey to becoming a chiropractor is similar to many in our profession, a personal experience of chiropractic’s healing power. My health was destroyed as a young child by regular and severe chest pains. Due to the phenomenal total cure of these debilitating pains I made the decision to devote my life to spreading the health restoring benefits of this amazing healing art, chiropractic.
I offer my training and professionalism to assist you in achieving vibrant health!
